How to be the best model ever.

After seeing this, here are a few tips:
- Confidence I think that this is the absolute most important part of modeling. All too many times I shoot with models who are beautiful but their confidence is not there and so they are too self conscious about their looks. As a model it’s essential to remember that the reason that we chose you to model is because we think that you’re look is what we are looking for. There is no reason to be self conscious during a shoot… the self esteem killing part is already over because we picked you! I can’t stress this enough. Don’t over think things, and try to be as comfortable as possible and happy because the moment we see that you’re second guessing yourself is the moment that can signal a downward spiral for us as photographers.
- Do your homework This is a close second to the first reason. To have a successful shoot, you must be familiar with a few things before the shoot starts. Make sure you know what the premise of the shoot is and try to look up some examples of models who have been involved in similar shoots. Try to familiarize with the features of the clothing that you’re trying to bring out and also be aware of the best angles that it will be photographed at. It also helps to familiarize yourself with the ways that photographers light so that you can be ready to maximize your look depending on the light. Be sure to also be familiar with poses that bring out your best features and can hide the parts of your physical appearance that you deem as weak spots. This will help the photographer get the best possible images. Also, make sure that prepare properly before a shoot. I’ve been told that drinking boiled water for 12-24hrs. before a shoot will improve the appearance of skin. Also, make sure that your diet is healthy and you get plenty of sleep before the night before a shoot.
- Have fun! Sometimes models get really caught up and modeling and take it way to seriously. Make sure you don’t forget that if you’re not having fun, maybe modeling isn’t for you. Of course it’s cutthroat and takes a lot of hard work, and determination but don’t forget that it should, at the end of the day, be fun. (This goes for any profession that you pick in life by the way!)
That’s all for now, if you have anything to add to the list or disagree with any of the suggestions, don’t hesitate to say so below. Thanks for reading this and good look modeling!
